Rehabilitation of a pre-existing run-of-river SHPP.
The necessary works to upgrade the SHPP from 1.3 MW to 1.7 MW include: new lateral intake, upgrading of the sand trap, replacement of about 80 meters of low pressure pipe, converging of the two existing penstocks, replacement of the two existing turbines with a bigger one, replacement of the MV and LV panels, control panels, automation.
SHPP final data after rehabilitation:
735 meters long concrete low pressure pipe
Two 945 m mild steel penstock.
Penstocks’ diameters: 680 – 630 – 580 mm,
Gross head: 91.49 m
Turbine: 1 Francis groups
Design flow rate: 2.5 m3/s
Installed capacity: 1.7 MW
Energy output: 10.12 GWh
